40 Great Nail art Ideas challenge: Films / Sleepy Hollow

I love anything Tim Burton does - but his classic work Sleepy Hollow is one of my all time favorite movies. I also like it since it is a horror movie but it is not like all the modern ones that are filled with blood, zombies and cheap scare tactics. Also it features Johnny Depp so *swoon* :)

So I decided to use my new Bundle monster set to create all the things that are featured in this movie, the series and the original story. A headless horseman obviously, some spiderwebs with a pentagram, a jack-o-lantern and a skull somewhere forgotten ;)

Here you can see the old promotional poster and a trailer if you have not seen the movie yet :)

At the same time I love a good revamp project - and the series Sleepy Hollow on FOX is one of those things. The idea behind the old world meeting the new and still keeping the story intact is amazing! So believe it or not these nails apply for the both things <3

This is the promotional poster of the new Sleepy Hollow series and the opening theme below. If you need something cool for your next Netflix and chill night this show is a great choice ;)

For this manicure I used only BM plates, such as BM-S201, BM-S205 and BM-S204. The base polishes I used are MaxFactor Fantasy fire, Orly Fowl play, Femme fatale Miasma and S-he stylezone no.184. The details are made with OPI Where did suzi's man-go?, Essence The dawn is broken, Catrice L'Ombre A Saussouri. The stamping polishes I used are Essence stamp me!white and black, Mundo de Unas Red.

Keep it creepy ;)

NOTD: Last snowflakes

The winter time is coming to an end. But I am not ready to say ''Goodbye'' to all the adorable snowflake nail art so I decided to make something that from a far away it would pass as normal nail art ;)

I love how this turned out! Black and white and some gold are always a great combination, therefore this manicure is a great way to end the Winter season :)

I used Yes love 467 and Sinful colors Wisp as base, the gold accent nails base is Zoya Solange. The stamping polishes I used are Essence stamp me! white and black. The gold stamping polish is Barry M Gold foil. The stamping plates I used are MoYou London Festive 8 and BP-L018.

BPS Review: Gold Nail Art Decoration in Wheel

Born pretty store is a great source for all types of beauty products. But I love their nail art  department best because you can get absolutely anything from them. I was lucky enough to be sent this Gold Nail Art decoration for review. It is a set of classic nail studs that are a must have for any nail artist.

And this is the look I came up with. I just love how this turned out - a great contrast between the matte nails and shiny nail studs. They turned out so sexy - just right for the up coming Valentines day :)

Here you can see the nail art wheel. It comes in gold or silver and you can get it for 2.48$ on their page. The studs range in sizes from 1.5 mm to 3 mm. The shapes are triangular, circles, round studs, hearts, bows, tear shapes, squares and crosses. Some of them are flat and some are a bit more 3D.

The mix of different shapes and sizes of the studs makes them very fun to work with. You can use them with nail glue or Gel nail polish that makes it sure they won't fall off. I only wish there were more of each shape since they are all so beautiful but you can't make big and elaborate nail art using just this nail wheel. Maybe just use them as small details, but still a great bargain for the price.

For this manicure I used Essence From me to you as base. Over it I added China glaze Matte magic as top coat. I used almost half of the nail studs in the wheel and some nail glue.

So if you are on the constant hunt for deals visit Bornpretty store Nail art department and stack up on some of these beauties. And while you are there use the

Irresistible Me Review: Aida Hair chain

This is the last of my reviews I created for Irresistible me. They are an international online store that sells hair extensions, tools and accessories. I was lucky enough to get my hands on their Aida hair chain. It is an unique hair decoration that I have never seen before, but had a lot of fun using! :)

The hair decoration is made out of 2 large hair pins. They are baroque gold pins full of filigree and swirls that are crowned with some pearls and two very large diamond like gems. One is a bit bigger then the other. So you can wear it together or apart on top of your hairdo. The chains are quite delicate and in 3 different lenghts. I decided to tangle the 2 longer ones and make a nice little cross that fitted right in the middle of my forehead.

The decorative pins are mounted on a little crocodile clip which means you can also wear them as decoration on your clothes. There is no need to wear it only as hair accessories.

I like this hair chain. It is unique and very versatile. Here I posted only one look, but there were a million other ways I tried to wear it and it was hard to decide which style I like best :)

If you are also on the hunt for a good statement piece visit the page Irresistible me or any type of other hair products. A bonus: all their products come in a very pretty box that keeps all the glamorous items safe :)

NOTD: Bubble bath nails

I discovered this adorable ducky stamp the other day on my MoYou London Princess 4 plate. And I knew I had to use it to make some soapy nails with this stamp as the main attraction. And look how kawaii it all turned out! <3

Since the colors of rubber duckies are bright I choose a dark but glittery base. And some bubble stamps to make it seem like the base is a glamorous bubble bath.

For this manicure I used Essence Confetteria as base. The bubbles are made with BM XL25 stamping plate and Essence Stamp me! White polish. I created the duckie using MoYou London Princess 4 plate and Essence stamp me! Black polish. Then I painted in the duck with OPI Where did Suzi's man-go? and Julep Lexie.

Irresistible Me Review: Blake headband

Today I have for you a review of a pretty and a little bit gothic Blake Headband from the online store Irresistible me. They offer a lot of hair extensions and tools, thou it was all the accessories that caught my eye.

I was always on the hunt for a perfect headband. All I ever owned gave me horrible headaches. It was usually due to their size or how the ends were padded. So I was a bit sceptical when I got this one. It has a light metal frame, covered with light satin even on the edges. And on one side there is a beautiful bow detail also created with satin. I was endlessly happy when I noticed that not even after hours of wearing it (something that was never possible before) I didn't get any migraines :)

Here you can see how perfectly the headband fits me and holds the hair back. It is great for any type of outfit. Either going out for coffee in jeans or a glam rock look for a night out :)

If you are also on the hunt for a good statement piece visit the page Irresistible me or any type of other hair products. A bonus: all their products come in a very pretty box that keeps all the glamorous items safe :)

40 Great Nail art Ideas challenge: 3 Shades of purple + Accent nail

I wanted to make a sweater manicure all season and now I finally got a chance. I had no problem with the 3 shades of purple part of the challenge - but the accent nail I did a bit different. Since most of my manicures feature an accent nail I decided to make this one a bit more subtle. But I love how this turned out!!! <3

I created a galaxy manicure but made with pastel colors and some subtle glitters. And I adore how they turned out! They look almost magical - just look at these cute little deer and hearts woven into the universe base <3

For this manicure I used Essence Hola, guapa!, Catrice Lilactric and LOVEnder to make the base. The glitters I used are Sinful colors Ice dream. The stamps are made with BP-L018 and Essence Stamp me!white.

DIY: Advent Calendar art with Essence

If you are like me then you still have empty Advent calendars laying around because they are just to cute to throw in the trash. I was looking at my sad empty Essence Advent calendar and it hit me! DIY Wall art!!!
Each of the small widows has some writing on it. And a lot of them are pretty inspirational quotes or very funny nail jokes. Is there a better way to decorate your nail art corner or salon? <3

So this is what I came up with - it is so cute and cheap to make. And you can make it with any left over Advent calenders since almost all of them what some nice little notes written on the inside of each window :)

Here you can see how my empty Advent calendar looks like :)

This is a close up of the little windows that I cut out. As you can see they have a bunch of adorable quotes written in very nice fonts - such a great collection of nice sayings :)

The only other things that you will need for this DIY craft is some glue, a nice background paper and a frame. Since all the little notes are on a white base I used a shiny black paper and a type of grey patterned frame.

Then it is time to arrange all the little notes in any way you like. And this is what I came up with. I love how it turned out! <3

Also a cute little photo shoot with all the polishes from the Calendar was mandatory.

And here are some other items I created using old Essence perfume packages. I just adore the boxes that their products come in - and see they double as cute little pictures <3

Thank you Essence and keep up the good work with the unique designs on your products :)

I hope you got some fun ideas what to do with the left over Christmas items still laying around the house :)

Lady Queen Review: Halloween water decals

Another review for all you lovelies today - courtesy of the online shop Lady Queen. I love all things gothic and spooky all year long. But since the pink and fluffy time of the year is coming closer and closer, time known as Valentines day I decided to make a review more time appropriate.

This manicure is also a great way to show you what to do with all the nail art swag that seems as if is only appropriate for one season. I managed to make this cute owls in love nail art using a set of water decals that were meant for Halloween <3 So kawaii <3

Here you can see the Halloween water decals. The come in 3 patterns and this is the one I choose - I was won over by the dancing skeleton dressed up as a gentleman. Click on the link if you want to see the other patterns since they are all very cute.
Each pattern is printed at least twice in small and big size. The water decals are of great quality therefore working with them was easy. They come off the paper very fast and the drying time was fairly quick. Also the edges of the sticker disappeared completely when I applied some top coat.

For this manicure I used China glaze Lubu heels and Essence Flamingo rose as base. The stamps I made with Kleancolor Metallic red and BP-L013 to make the hearts. And since the little owls needed a branch to sit on and be in love I made some branches using Essence stamp me!black and BP-L031 plate.

So if you are on the hunt for some unique and easy to work with water decals head on over to Lady queen :) And when you are there don't forget to use my 15% Off code DVLC15

Lady Queen Review: V Shape gold knuckle ring

As the last review I have this Gold V shaped ring that I got from LadyQueen shop. I was able to choose from their collection of rings and this one looked so amazing I knew I need to have it in my collection <3

Since I have crazy small fingers most of rings don't fit me. But this ring has the diameter of cca. 1,5 cm which makes it perfect for me - I can wear it as a knuckle or as a normal ring. It has a nice rich gold color to it. A great accessory that is not too loud and it can be worn with others :)

So if you are on the hunt for some unique jewelry visit Lady queen :) And when you are there don't forget to use my 15% Off code DVLC15

NOTD: Embellished nail art

I am stalking a lot of Japanese nail tech on IG and those ladies are so talented! Their techniques and designs are so unique - nothing like what I see done by the western nail techs. I was so impressed I decided to make some similar nail art.

For this manicure all you need is time and patience. Since it takes forever to place all the little glitters where you want them. For the base I used Essence Wild white ways. To make the lines I used the water decals I got from Bornpretty store and the studs are also from there.

I hope you like nails like this. They are a bit different than what I usually do but it feels nice to try different things. They might not be my favorite nails but I loved playing with all the little gems and practicing for next time I will attempt a project like this :)

This nails were created for Glam express, feel free to visit them to see more of my work and the work of a lot of different beauty bloggers.
