I REMEMBER WHEN - THE IDES OF MARCH
I remember when ... its usually something old grumpy men say and then they start talking about their childhood. But i went the other way and used a historically known event. I bet there is no old men around that remembers it ;)
The ides of March the day associated with the assassination of Julius Cesar. I always liked him (how g33ky i know) and i appreciate his stamp in history. He is one of those monumental figures of time that should be remembered forever, even in a cheezy way via nail art. Here is the wiki link to brush up on you history: link
- Veni, vidi,vici ...
I used Vollare city as the base white that represents the toga. With Catrice Ahsley i made the gray lines that are fabric folds. Catrice Captain's Sparrows boat as the base metallic polish that is the dagger and over it Smart girls no. 119 whose red chunky glitter are the little blood drops. And with Catrice caught on the red carpet and ''the blow dart'' technique i made the blood splatter effect...
And i even have a lovely legionnare ring that fits the theme ... Yes i am all round Rome fan ;)
I hope you like it :)
